As a donor to the 40 Acres Scholars Program, you will be investing in the future of The University of Texas at Austin, ensuring its continued excellence, competiveness, and prominence on a national level. A merit scholarship program of this scope will bring greater visibility to UT in our goal to be the number one public university in the nation. Recipients will possess extraordinary intellectual qualities and the capacity to motivate and lead fellow students. They will demonstrate initiative, perseverance, empathy for others and overall good citizenship.

The goal is to create an endowment of at least $150 million, funded through the University of Texas Capital Campaign and administered by the Texas Exes. This endowment is part of the University’s broad-based campaign.

Contributions of $500,000 or more will create a named scholarship for undergraduates and earnings may be designated for a specific school or college. Input, recommendations and participation in the selection process from the schools and colleges will ensure recruitment of the students that the University wants and needs. With your help, these students’ lives will be "transformed for the benefit of society."
